"We were
searching internet for accommodation in Dubrovnik for our 5-nights stay.
Immediately as we found Kashe's web page, we were seriously considering
booking it, because apartment looked very modern(which is not the case
with many others), at interesting location and perfectly matching our
needs (we were 4 people). There was just one disadvantage for which we
were considering something else: no terrace. But finally we have decided
for Kashe. And definitely it was good choice! Although
Darko(our landlord) offered us to use his terrace, we never used it. It
was because of Restaurant Poklisar, located just under the apartment,
which is really perfect place for morning coffee with sea-view. What was
surprising is that the place is not very noisy, neither during the night
nor in the morning. The best was to sleep with closed windows and A/C
turned on - because A/C is located in the living room, it is not disturbing.
But what makes Kashe a gem is something else. You can furnish any other
apartment with better furniture, you can have private large terrace, but
you will never have apartment which is 20 second walk from the main street
of Old Town (Stradun), 20 second walk to the one of best restaurants in
the city (Lokanda) and closest of all old town apartments to the Banje
beach. We would definitely like to return."

"Overlooking the port area, dotted with small and large boats bobbing in their moorings, live piano music in the background, hundreds of swallows ahead, Darko’s cat mooshing around the balcony, a glass of wine in hand, some pita bread and salami, a magnificent mountainside lined with white red rooved houses, cruisers lit up with 100s of lights a few hundred metres away, the awesome old walls of Dubrovnik closely in our sights, the 3 moon shining amongst scattered clouds, people eating and drinking beer makes for an absolutely stunning, relaxing-'to-die-for' atmosphere. It is a slice of heaven here and as George Bernard Shaw says ‘Those who seek paradise on earth should come to Dubrovnik.’ I couldn’t agree more!" "Location,
location, location!!! I was pleasantly surprised when I actually arrived
and realized where exactly we (my husband and I) would be staying. Kashe
suite is located in the very center of Dubrovnik, in the Old Town harbour.
I thought, as we decided to stay with in Old Town, that we would have to carry our bags up those narrow streets full of steep uneven steps, but the taxi dropped us off at the Ploce Gate and there were no steps on the way to Kashe suite. That was great as my luggage was soooo heavy. When we reached the Old Port there was only one building in which there is Port Authority, restaurant Poklisar which I highly recommend (try their seafood risotto) and Vacation Suite Kashe. Just outside the suite there are boats going on three island tours, island of Lokrum, Elafiti islands, Cavtat...I felt so good knowing I would not have to use a car or bus during our vacation. Darko, the owner of Kashe suite, was waiting for us in front of the restaurant and he showed us our way into the suite. He was very kind and helpful from our first contact through his website www.dubrovnikconcierge.com, where we booked his suite. He is a handsome young man and we certainly enjoyed his company. Darko helped us with his advice and showed us around the Old Town, organized our transfer to the airport, organized a sea-kayaking tour for us, and reserved a table in a great restaurant, Nautika, located on Ploce gate. On his website there are other apartments owned by his friends but suite Kashe is something special. After my first look at the suite, I was in love with it. The suite was remodeled last summer and it is tastefully decorated. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, spacious living room with kitchenette. It is a loft-type apartment and it has that special feeling once you arrive you just feel great. The rooms had a nice, romantic atmosphere, and they were completely renovated with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. We also had a chance to meet Darko's mother Lucia. She is such an amazing women. She is also a famous Croatian artist. She makes unique pottery with no instruments, only her hands, and she paints them with gold and platinum. We bought a beautiful vase for my mother for €200 and she gave us two little white doves she made and told us they are symbol of love. We keep them in our living room, they remind us of our great time in Dubrovnik. I would highly recommend this accommodation to everyone coming to Dubrovnik wishing to experience the real Croatian lifestyle and meet nice and helpful local family." "Welcome
to Dubrovnik. I would like to share my opinion about the wonderful apartment
Kashe located in Old Town Dubrovnik, Croatia. I have stayed in many apartments
throughout Scandinavia, and Europe while vacationing and this is the very
best one thus far. The apartment is spacious, clean, newly remodeled with
all the amenities for both short and long term stay. Imagine walking to
the harbor of Old Town Dubrovnik, ascending into a perfect living area
and having all of the comforts of home.
The apartment is tastefully decorated in white and off-white upholstered furniture with multiple beautiful ceramic pieces and art pieces on the walls. The ceramic pieces are a real treat and add a special touch for the guests to enjoy. The ceramics are beautiful and are the work of the artist-owner of the apartment. She has a studio/gallery in the apartment below for those who are interested in purchasing pieces as souvenirs or for your own private collection. She is a well-known artist who has been commissioned for pieces in the War Memorial Room, Nativity Scene in the Dubrovnik Cathedral and has pieces all over the world in the private collections of royalty, Pope John Paul II, and celebrities. There is an inviting sitting room with a television and space to entertain a few invited guests. The kitchen is fully functional and has plenty of counter space to prepare meals. If cooking is not on your list of vacation activities, there is the Poklisai restaurant, literally, at the bottom of the stairs leading to the apartment. They are open year-round for lunch and dinner. They serve a beef stroganoff and steak to die for and outstanding Croatian wines. There are two bedrooms that both have king size beds. One room’s king size bed can be separated into two twin beds. The beds are fantastically comfortable and I recommend them for those who may have back ailments. They are firm, without being too hard, and are covered in quality linens that are soft on the skin. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of room for luggage and storage space for your items. There are bathrooms for each of the bedrooms and are located off of each room for those wanting a private bath attached to the bedroom. The bathrooms are equipped with showers that have shower curtains. They are very clean and have modern fixtures and plugs for any appliances that you may bring. The owner has plans to have hair dryers available for use if needed. The location of this apartment is the real treat. The apartment is right off of the main street, Stradun, which has wonderful shopping, restaurants, pubs and gelaterias (a must to try when here). The view from the apartment is breathtaking and the bright Adriatic sun greets each day through the numerous windows that are in the apartment. There are windows in each bedroom and in the kitchen and sitting room. The fresh air from the coast and a lovely breeze fills the apartment. This apartment is the perfect place to stay while visiting this beautiful and wonderful city. I give this place the highest ranking out of all of the apartments in which I have stayed. The owners are very professional, pleasant and dealing with them is easy." S. Fuentes M.D. Texas, USA. June 2006 |

"Byron described
Dubrovnik as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic'. The magnitude of truth in this
description hits home when soaking in the views from Vacation
Suite Kashe.
This 2 (ensuite) bedroom flat, located on the port of Dubrovnik, provides the perfect setting to experience the City with all the places of interest a stone's throw away: from popping into the Sponza Palace, strolling down Stradun to touring the City Walls (all 30 seconds away) Vacation Suite Kashe is the ideal base to explore Dubrovnik from. In the evening, relax on the port itself (10 seconds away), breathe in the fresh air and listen to the sea whilst looking at the terracotta roofs that are synonymous with this part of the world. With the onset of dusk, watch the mountainside become peppered with the lights of homes outside of the Walls and sample the fresh seafood cuisine over a relaxed meal accompanied with music. Most of all enjoy the hospitality of the hosts of Vacation Suite Kashe and feel like you have become part of their family. For us, Vacation Suite Kashe was the jewel in the crown of our visit - causing much envy amongst friends - because of our luck of the draw: make sure that luck has no part to play when you choose where to stay!" "We stayed
in Vacation Suite Kashe during our honeymoon trip to
Dubrovnik and it turned out to be a right decision. The apartment was
located at the Old Port within the Old Town, just steps from the Ploce
Gate and Stradun. The rooms had a nice, romantic atmosphere and they were
completely renovated with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. We also
had a chance to know the family who runs the apartment and they were very
friendly and helpful in trying to accomodate our needs. We would absolutely
stay here again the next time we visit Dubrovnik." Steve Pandjaputra Aachen, Germany May 2006 |

“Studio
Bruno was ideally situated within easy walking distance of the
Ploce gate, above a charming, well-priced restaurant and with a lovely
view of the old Harbor of Dubrovnik from the apartment window. The large
room was decorated simply with white washed walls and a high ceiling and
a few nice artsy touches. The room and bathrooms were clean and the queen
size bed was comfortable. The AC worked well and easily cooled the room
down even on very hot days. The small refrigerator worked well. I wanted
to stay in the old city, near the sights and restaurants, but without
having to negotiate too many steps. Studio Bruno is just steps away from
harbor where you can catch the excursion boats going out to the nearby
islands, many restaurants and the most important sights of the city. I
would give Studio Bruno the highest recommendation.” ~ROBERT, USA (September 2008) |
